Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. -Romans 12:4-5 (NLT)
He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. -Ephesians 4:16 (NLT)
THE CHURCH IS THE HOPE FOR THE WORLD!
How can I be an influence to my church family?
1. … by being
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. -1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NLT)
And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. -Hebrews 10:25 (NLT)
2. … by them
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith. -Galatians 6:9-10 (NLT)
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. -1 Peter 4:10 (NLT)
3. … by them
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. -2 Corinthians 4:3-4 (NLT)
4. … by them toward greater faith
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. -Hebrews 10:24 (NLT)
You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God. -Hebrews 3:13 (NLT)
Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important. -Galatians 6:1-3 (NLT)
God has given each of us to strengthen the church family.
A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other… And the same is true for you. Since you are so eager to have the special abilities the Spirit gives, seek those that will strengthen the whole church…All of these (spiritual gifts) must be done for the strengthening of the church. -1 Corinthians 12:7; 14:12, 26 (NLT)
