Love Demonstrated By Obedience

If You Love Me, Obey My Commandments (John 14:15 NLT)

Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; Believe also in me. (John 14:1 ESV)

Peace I leave you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. (John 14:27 ESV)

If you love me, obey my commandments. (John 14:15 NLT)

Our love for Jesus is our motivation to obey His commands
for true obedience flows out of a heart of love.

We can’t obey Jesus if we don’t love Him.
We can’t love Jesus if we don’t obey Him.

If you loved me, you would have rejoiced because I am going to the Father. (John 14:28 ESV)

The Father will give you another Helper, the Holy Spirit, who will never leave you… and who will lead you into all truth. (John 14:16 & 17 ESV)

You know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. (John 14:17b ESV)

Because I live, you also will live. (John 14:19b ESV)

Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them. (John 14:21 NLT)

All who love me will do what I say.  My Father will love them, and We will come and make Our home with each of them. (John 14:23 NLT)

I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (Jeremiah 31:33 ESV)

Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. (1 John 3:18 ESV)                                             Whoever keeps His commandments abides in God, and God in him.  And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. (! John 3:24 ESV)

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. (John 15:9 NLT)  If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in His love. (John 15:10 NLT)

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,  patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control … (Galatians 5:22-23a ESV)

Christ lives and we live.
He was triumphant, and in Him we are triumphant.
He is with us and leads us and we follow.

I have been crucified with Christ.  It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.  And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20 ESV)
