Human speech is inadequate to describe Him.
Our minds are too small to comprehend Him.
Our hearts are insufficient to fully contain this One whose birth divides world history into B.C. (Before Christ) and A.D. (Anno Domini Latin for in the year of the LORD).
To ignore Him is beyond foolishness and to reject Him is damnable.
God’s word tells us the baby born in Bethlehem is Jesus.
He is Emmanuel – God With Us!
He is the pearl of great price and The Perfect Light!
His in the name above all names!
He is Almighty Goddess, sleeping there robed in the flesh of an infant child!
This word of God given us through the prophet Isaiah is one of the most beautiful and best-known verbal portraits, of the One who is our only hope in life and death.
Here we have the perfect picture to describe who He is, what He came to do, and what He continues to do in and for those who put their trust in Him.
To us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace.
Jesus Christ is the key to Peace – For He Is Our Peace!
Each of us was born into sin, but Jesus is God incarnate, sent to save us from our sins, He is our peace offering, and in Him, we are reconciled to God.
Romans 5:1, “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Jesus’ role as Prince of Peace is directly tied to His role as Savior.
We Are Justified In Christ – We Have Peace With God.
Because we have peace with God, we have the peace of God available to us.
Our conflicts must always be solved vertically with God, before it can be solved horizontally with others.
Without Jesus, There Is No Peace.
Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Jesus warned His disciples that tribulation was coming but a “world of troubles,” is viewed differently by Christ-followers.
We experience trouble many times because The World Hates The Light of Christ it sees within us.
Just as Jesus was persecuted, we can expect to be rejected, mocked, and even killed.
John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
In this world, our peace is constantly under attack.
One day, Jesus will return. The mighty Prince of Peace will take His rightful place on the throne of our world, and we will begin to experience the eternal peace God promises.
Jesus is everything Isaiah depicted.
Jesus is our source of wisdom, the power by which sin is defeated, the one who adopts us into the family of God forever, and the means by which we have peace with God and with one another.
Jesus is the Son of God and His kingdom of peace and righteousness will never end.
It is right to say that in Jesus we find everything we need in order to be what each of us is meant to be, to do what God designed us to do, and to enjoy life as God meant for us to enjoy it.
In Jesus We Find Life.
In Jesus We Find Hope.
In Jesus We Find The Peace and Grace of God.
Jesus Is The Way, He Is The Truth, He Is Life!
