“Ships Men Should Board”
Acts 9:19-25
Jonah 1:3 reads, “But Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get away from the Lord.
He went down to the port of Joppa, where he found a ship leaving for Tarshish. He bought a
ticket and went on board, hoping to escape from the Lord by sailing to Tarshish.” (NLT) This
verse records the steps an Old Testament leader took to flee from his godly assignment. All
believers, whether new or seasoned, are tasked to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives. There are
many factors that can help Christian men and women serve the Lord faithfully and effectively.
