BEATITUDES OPENER

MATTHEW 5:1-3 (ESV)
“Seeing the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and when he sat down, his disciples came to him.   2 And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying:
3 ‘Blessed are , for  .’ ”

I INVITE YOU INTO A CHALLENGE WITH THREE PARTS:

PART #1: BUILD
Believe and obey the words of Jesus.

MATTHEW 7:24-27 (ESV)
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.   25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.   26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.   27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

PART #2: VISIBLE
Influence very publicly for Jesus.

MATTHEW 5:14-15 (ESV)
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.   15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.”

PART #3: FAITH
Invite people to salvation in Jesus.

MATTHEW 5:16 (ESV)
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE: BUILD VISIBLE FAITH
