ARTICLE X — STATEMENT OF FAITH
“We believe and accept the following statements as essentials for the unity and practice of the members of this church:”

1. THE AUTHORITY OF THE BIBLE 
(II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21)
“We believe the 66 books of Old and New Testaments are a complete and final revelation from God, without error in the original autographs, and sufficient in themselves as our only rule of faith and practice.”

We believe in unity five TRUTHS regarding The Authority of the Bible:

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV

And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, 20 knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. 21 For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1:19-21 ESV

Truth #1: “the 66 BOOKS of Old and New Testaments”

You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. John 13:13 ESV

Truth #2: “are a COMPLETE and FINAL REVELATION from God” 

All Scripture is breathed out by God… 2 Timothy 3:16 ESV

Truth #4: “and SUFFICIENT in themselves”

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 ESV

Truth #5: “as our ONLY RULE of faith and practice.”
