ARTICLE X — STATEMENT OF FAITH
“We believe and accept the following statements as essentials for the unity and practice of the members of this church:”

2. THE TRIUNITY OF GOD 
(Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14)
“We believe that God is one, manifesting Himself in three distinct and separate Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each of Whom is God and to be honored and worshiped as God.”

We believe in unity four TRUTHS regarding The Triunity of God:

Truth #1: “that God is ONE” 

Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: “I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god. Isaiah 44:6 ESV

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. Deuteronomy 6:4-5 ESV

Truth #2: “manifesting Himself in three distinct and separate Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit” 

And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you
I am well pleased.” Mark 1:10-11 ESV

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Genesis 1:1-3 ESV

Truth #3: “each of Whom is God” 

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. Galatians 4:4-5 ESV

And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed. John 17:5 ESV

I and the Father are one. John 10:30 ESV

But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to man but to God.” Acts 5:3-4 ESV

Truth #4: “and to be honored and worshiped as God” 

Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” Revelation 5:11-13 ESV

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 2 Corinthians 13:14 ESV

1. Increase DIALOGUE about these essential statements of our faith in Jesus Christ
2. Increase UNITY as a local body of believers in Jesus Christ
