Divine Inflow Produces Human Overflow!
The work and power of the Holy Spirit.
“But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you might remember that I told them to you. I did not say these things from the beginning, because I was with you. But now I am going to Him who sent me, and none of you ask me, “Where are you going?” But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send Him to you. And when He comes, he will convict the world concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; concerning righteousness because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer, concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all truth, for He will not speak of His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for He will take what is mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has is mine; therefore, I said that He will take what is mine and declare it to you.” John 16:4-15 ESV
“And when He comes….” Everyone will know about it because you cannot hide the holiness of God!
True HAPPINESS is only experienced by true HOLINESS!

Out of a Spirit-filled life, there will flow a river of blessing! Why? Because the Holy Spirit brings out two things for us to remember! His DIVINE INFLOW will produce HUMAN OVERFLOW!

1. DIVINE INFLOW
- When He comes, He will do what?
He will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness, and judgment. John 16:8 ESV

- His Inflow gives us proof that He lives within us!
And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” Galatians 4:6 ESV
by which He has granted to us His precious promises, so that through them you may become partakers of His divine nature, 2 Peter 1:4 ESV
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? 1 Corinthians 6:19 ESV

2. HUMAN OVERFLOW
Involves our continual drinking from the Word of God! Feed the inner man!
Our inner self is being renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16 ESV
But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law, he meditates day and night. Psalms 1:2-3 ESV
“But whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:14 ESV
- It comes from within…not from without!
- It is like a Mountain Spring
• It is spontaneous
• It is self-advertising
• It cannot be stopped.
• It satisfies
• It generates power
• It produces beauty
• It cleanses and heals

Key? If you want the Divine Inflow of God’s Holy Spirit, you first need a born-again heart for the flow to start! “You must be born again!” John 3:7 ESV
It all starts with His coming to seek and to save the lost! Luke 19:10 ESV
