GRACE TRANSFORMS — CLOSING

NAME: We want to reach this Big Central Valley with the Grace of Jesus Christ in Community with His Church.

PURPOSE: The purpose of the Church is to bring glory to God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 (ESV)

MISSION: Love God, Love People, Make Disciples.  Matthew 22:37-39; 28:18-20 (ESV)

VISION: Love your [actual] neighbor. This means every member of the Body of Christ, being led by the power of the Holy Spirit of God, evangelizing and discipling our [actual] neighbors, and leading them to do the same.

HOW: This is only possible when God’s Grace Transforms lives.
Even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus… Ephesians 2:5-6 (ESV)

Grace Transforms residents of earth into CITIZENS OF HEAVEN. 
Acts 19:1-10 (ESV)

#1: Citizens of Heaven BELIEVE in Jesus Christ. 
Every member of the Body of Christ.

And it happened that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the inland country and came to Ephesus. There he found some disciples. 2 And he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” 3 And he said, “Into what then were you baptized?” They said, “Into John’s baptism.” 4 And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.” 5 On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Acts 19:1-5 (ESV) 

#2: Citizens of Heaven INFLUENCE for Jesus Christ. 
Being led by the power of the Holy Spirit of God. 

And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying. 7 There were about twelve men in all. Acts 19:6-7 (ESV) 

#3: Citizens of Heaven WIN with Jesus Christ. 
Evangelizing our [actual] neighbors.

And he entered the synagogue and for three months spoke boldly, reasoning and persuading them about the kingdom of God. Acts 19:8 (ESV) 

#4: Citizens of Heaven EQUIP in Jesus Christ. 
Discipling our [actual] neighbors.

But when some became stubborn and continued in unbelief, speaking evil of the Way before the congregation, he withdrew from them and took the disciples with him, reasoning daily in the hall of Tyrannus. Acts 19:9 (ESV) 

#5: Citizens of Heaven MULTIPLY through Jesus Christ. 
Leading our [actual] neighbors to do the same.

This continued for two years, so that all the residents of Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks. Acts 19:10 (ESV) 

A God-sized Goal: To glorify God through exponential discipleship.

“All the residents of heard the word of the Lord.” Acts 19:10 

Live as a Citizen of Heaven and Love your [actual] neighbor: 

BELIEVE   >>>>>>   This means every member of the Body of Christ, 

INFLUENCE   >>>>>>   being led by the power of the Holy Spirit of God, 

WIN   >>>>>>.  evangelizing 

EQUIP   >>>>>>.  and discipling our [actual] neighbors, 

MULTIPLY   >>>>>>.  and leading them to do the same.

If I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:2 (ESV)
