39 In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a town in Judah,
40 and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. Luke 1:39-40 ESV

Elizabeth’s story reveals five TRUTHS about life in Jesus:

Truth #1: You are BLESSED!
Reject the lie: “You are cursed.”

And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Luke 1:41 ESV

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Ephesians 1:3 ESV

Truth #2: You are CHOSEN!
Reject the lie: “You are rejected.”

And she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!” Luke 1:42 ESV

Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. Ephesians 1:4 ESV

Truth #3: You are FAVORED!
Reject the lie: “You are forgotten.”

“And why is this granted to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me?” Luke 1:43 ESV

In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:4-5 ESV

Truth #4: You are JOYFUL!
Reject the lie: “You are bitter.”

“For behold, when the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.” Luke 1:44 ESV

According to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. Ephesians 1:5-6 ESV

Truth #5: You are REDEEMED!
Reject the lie: “You are damned.”

“And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.” Luke 1:45 ESV

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight. Ephesians 1:7-8 ESV
