FIGHTING TEMPTATION- WEEK TWO

Hebrews 4:15  This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.

Matthew 4:5-7 Then the devil took him to the holy city, Jerusalem, to the highest point of the Temple, 6 and said, “If you are the Son of God, jump off! For the Scriptures say, ‘He will order his angels to protect you. And they will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.’*” 7 Jesus responded, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the Lord your God.’*”

YOU CAN’T OR PEOPLE IF YOU NEED THEIR APPLAUSE.

IS ENOUGH FOR ME?

Matthew 4:6 and said, “If you are the Son of God, jump off! For the Scriptures say, ‘He will order his angels to protect you. And they will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.’*”

WHAT SEPARATES US FROM SATAN ISN’T OUR OF SCRIPTURE, IT’S OUR TO SCRIPTURE.

Psalm 91:11-12 For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. 12 They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.

Matthew 4:7 Jesus responded, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the Lord your God.’*”

Deuteronomy 6:16  You must not test the Lord your God as you did when you complained at Massah*.

Exodus 17:7  Moses named the place Massah (which means “test”) and Meribah (which means “arguing”) because the people of Israel argued with Moses and tested the Lord by saying, “Is the Lord here with us or not?”
