1 Timothy 6:9-10 People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a
trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin
and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some
people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced
themselves with many griefs.

Luke 16:13 (NKJV) – “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will
hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and
despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”

Haggai 1:5-7 – Now this is what the LORD Almighty says: “Give careful
thought to your ways. You have planted much, but have harvested little.
You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You
put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a
purse with holes in it.” This is what the LORD Almighty says: “Give careful
