God is Good!

Esther 8:1-2

August 3, 2025

God blessed Esther and Mordecai’s actions of faith.

• Ahasuerus finally knew everything about Esther, including her relationship to Mordecai.
  • He gave Esther all of Haman’s massive and estate, Esther 3:9.
• Mordecai was to Haman’s high position in the government.
  • The ring Haman used to attack the Jews was given to Mordecai to show his .
• Esther placed Mordecai in charge of Haman’s .
  • Did Esther and Mordecai use their new wealth to help the Jews?
  • It is possible Esther and Mordecai’s stand for faith sparked a Jewish revival.

God is good and He wants to shower us with good things, James 1:16-18.

• Don’t let Satan, the world, or circumstances (suffering) make you God’s goodness.
  • In the Garden of Eden, Satan caused Eve to doubt God’s goodness.
  • God is and cannot change like a shifting shadow.
• Every good thing we enjoy now in life is from .
  • God is a good who wants to give good things.
  • Good things: family, health, jobs, money/possessions, enjoyment, etc.
    • If it’s good, it comes from God.
• God’s desire is to give us His greatest gift of all, eternal life, v. 18.
  • He wants to give us , a completely new life.
    • Sin is dealt with – we are free from its condemnation or control.
    • We can start a new life with the living inside.
  • He wants us with Him for eternity.

Take time to think more deeply about God’s goodness this week.

• Meditate on these basic truths:
  • God is truly good because He is perfect and unchanging.
  • God is our Heavenly Father who seeks to give us good things both now and for eternity.
  • God is unlimited in what He can do in our lives, Ephesians 3:20-21.
