God Loves Me!

John 3:16

John 3:16 NASB

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.

God LovedFor God so loved the world…

  • We were created for a with God, Genesis 1:27.

So God created man in His own image.

  • God wants every person to experience His , 1 Timothy 2:3-4.

This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

God GaveFor God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son

  • We have a need only God can fulfill.
    • We are from God by sin, Romans 3:23.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

    • We to die, Romans 6:23a.

For the wages of sin is death.

  • We haven’t done anything to deserve God’s love, Romans 5:8.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

We BelieveFor God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in

Him will not perish

  • Jesus died in our place to take God’s , 1 Corinthians 15:3.

For I handed down to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures…

  • Jesus came back to after three days to give us eternal life, 1 Corinthians 15:4.

…and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.

  • belief in Jesus is not enough, James 2:19.

You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.

We ReceiveFor God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in

Him will not perish, but have eternal life.

  • God offers forgiveness and eternal life to us as a , Romans 6:23.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  • To receive eternal life, we have to God’s offer of love through Jesus, Romans 10:9-10.

that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

  • God will turn anyone away, no matter what he or she has done, Romans 10:13.

For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
