Surviving Conflict (Revelation from God series)

Scripture Reading: Revelation 2:1-11

Revelation 2: 2 I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false…

You have forsaken the love you had at first. 5 Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.

5 Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.

10 Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown….

The one who is victorious will not be hurt at all by the second death.

Remember to continue to G.R.O.W. this summer!

This summer we’re seeking to grow spiritually as a church as we simultaneously strategize on how to renovate our facilities to keep up with our church’s growth.

Here’s the plan to GROW this Summer in Gratitude, Reflection, Outreach, and Worship:

FIRST: Continue reading a chapter a day of the book of Acts that corresponds to the date.  

SECOND: Try adding in a prayer of thankful G-ratitude (the “G” in G.R.O.W).

THIRD: Try adding in a couple of minutes of prayerful pondering on the Scripture in what could be called

a  R-eflection Time.

FOURTH: Try adding in some sort of  O-utreach effort as you pray for someone who doesn’t go to church. They’re missing out on our worship and caring Christian community, and maybe on the salvation and joy of the Lord Jesus entirely! Then take an action this week to actually reach out.
