Paul shares with the Christian, four keys for experiencing victory over sin:

1. Remember our spiritual union with Christ in His death and resurrection (vv. 8-10)

2. Reckon yourself dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus (v. 11)

3. Reject the rule and reign of sin in your life and run to righteousness (vv. 12-13)

4. Realize you now live under the rule of God’s forgiving and empowering grace (v. 14)
