Faith-FULL pt 10 – A Transformed Life

Phil 3:12-14
“12  that I have already obtained this or am already , but I  to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. 13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

“I’m not where I want to be but thank God I’m not where I once was.

James 4:11-12
“11 Do not  against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. 12 There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?”

“Katalalia is the sin of those who meet in corners and gather in little groups and pass on confidential tidbits of information which destroy the good name of those who are not there to defend themselves.” – William Barclay

James 4:12
“There is only one lawgiver and , he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to  your neighbor?”

Who am I?

I’m the neighbor not the judge.

Faith in Jesus transforms our ambitions.

James 4:13-16
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— 14 yet  what tomorrow will bring. ? For you are a  that appears for a little time and then vanishes. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.”

What is my life?
Fragile and Fleeting
