What Are You Waiting For? Christmas at Crosstown, Part 3

What are you really waiting for?

The Christmas story, seen through the eyes of Simeon. 

Jesus Christ is revealed as the Savior

Luke 2:30

“for my eyes have seen your salvation…”

Luke 2:31-32 

that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, 32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.”

“He’s making a list, he’s checking it twice, he’s gonna find out

who’s naughty or nice…”

A decision has to be made

Luke 2:34-35

“Behold, this child is appointed for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is opposed 35 (and a sword will pierce through your own soul also), so that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed.”

Will you embrace Jesus as your Savior, or will you turn away?

Christmas is not only about receiving a gift.

It’s about about recognizing the gift requires a response.
