See The Empty Tomb | Luke: Season 2, Part 12

April 9, 2023   /   Crosstown Alliance Church

The first reason you need to see the empty tomb for yourself is because….
Not just a story its history.

There is actual historical documentation from Roman, Jewish, and Secular historians that
talk about the life, death, and burial of Jesus.

36 hours later the tomb that Jesus was buried in was empty.

Some people think…
1) Jesus Fainted- He didn’t actually die on the cross but passed out or fainted and later
revived.

2) Jesus’ Body Was Stolen- The Disciples stole the body and told people he rose from the
grave.

3) They went to the wrong tomb- In their grief the women and disciples went to the wrong
grave.

The second reason you need to see the empty tomb for yourself is because…

It’s not just an empty tomb it’s a promise.

Handed over to men – Judas betrays Jesus and hands him over to the Jewish leaders.

Suffered – Jesus was mocked, flogged, and forced to carry His own cross.

Died – Jesus was hung on the cross and pierced to make sure that he was dead.

Rose again in three days – Empty Tomb (Resurrection or Insurrection against Jewish

Leaders)
