Stuff Every Christ Follower Needs to Know
What Is Worship?
True worship isALL THAT YOU ARE, responding to ALL GOD HAS SHOWN OF HIMSELF.
Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
1 Peter 2:9 9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Isaiah 43:7 “everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”
Isaiah 1:11-12 11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.
Romans 11:36 For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
1 Corinthians 10:31 31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 6:20 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.
True Worship happens when it is done in SPIRIT and TRUTH.
Matthew 15:7-9 7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: 8 “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 9 They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’
True worship is GIVING VALUE to something.
