The Book of Revelation is not
a horror story…
it’s a story.
John 14:1-3 (CSB) “Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare
a place for you? 3 If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, so that where I am you may be also.
Revelation 2:12-17 (CSB) “Write to the angel of the church in Pergamum: Thus says the one who has the sharp, double-edged sword: 13 I know where you live—where Satan’s throne is. Yet you are holding on to my name and did not deny your faith in me, even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness who was put to death among you, where Satan lives. 14 But I have a few things against you. You have some there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to place a stumbling block in front of the Israelites: to eat meat sacrificed to idols and to commit sexual immorality. 15 In the same way, you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. 16 So repent! Otherwise, I will come to you quickly and fight against them with the sword of my mouth. 17 “Let anyone who has ears to hear listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name is inscribed that no one knows except the one who receives it.

The teaching of :
“You can and do whatever you want because God’s already you.”
The teaching of Balaam is what is known as a “” teaching.
“God loves you. You have to , you’re okay, and all is .”
Pergamum taught Balak which was the idea of “you can , and all is okay.”
But it’s .
Pergamum would give a “” Gospel to cause other people to and they did this knowingly and for a .
Matthew 18:6 (CSB) “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to fall away—it would be better for him if a heavy millstone were hung around his neck and he were drowned in the depths of the sea.
Jesus said that Pergamum also had the other extreme of the teaching of the .
The Nicolaitans were .
They would jump on you in a second if you even blinked the wrong way in church.
The Nicolaitans were and placed on everyone for everything.
Pergamum was a church of .
Those extremes in the Church today.
Two Church Crowds…
Hyper- VS Hyper-
John 1:17 (CSB) for the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Grace is ALWAYS .
It is grace that you to be so the can set you free.
Truth without Grace is .
Grace without Truth is .
Grace and Truth is and .
John 8:10-11 (CSB) When Jesus stood up, he said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 “No one, Lord,” she answered. “Neither do I condemn you,” said Jesus. “Go, and from now on do not sin anymore.”
Grace and Truth isn’t about between the two.
When Grace and Truth must be in with one another, it opens the door to in Jesus Name.
