Why God?
“Why Would A Loving God Send Someone To Hell?”

Pastor Mark England

Why would a loving God send people to hell?

.

Hell is the place where .

Hell is the place where we are already headed the moment we are .  This is why we must be .

Romans 5:12 (CSB) Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, in this way death spread to all people, because all sinned.

The Good News!
God gives us a !

Romans 5:19 (CSB) For just as through one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.

Why does hell exist in the first place?

God created hell, but it was never meant to be a place for .

Hell exists for God to righteously .

Revelation 20:10 (CSB) The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet are, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Hell exists for God to righteously .

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 (CSB) when he takes vengeance with flaming fire on those who don’t know God and on those who don’t obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will pay the penalty of eternal destruction from the Lord’s presence and from his glorious strength

What is Satan’s role?

Satan in hell right now.
Satan is you and to attack you when you are vulnerable.

1 Peter 5:8 (CSB) Be sober-minded, be alert. Your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour.

Satan wants to sift you like wheat, and steal, kill, and destroy every good thing has for you.

Satan isn’t in a red jumpsuit with a pitchfork.
Satan is dressed up to appear to be something .

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 (CSB) For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no great surprise if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will be according to their works.

Satan wants to convince you that hell is either , or not .

John 8:44 (CSB) You are of your father the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

Satan’s agenda is to get you to reject Christ by not taking Him .
Living with of God.
Living a life.
Craving .
Rejecting .
Avoiding .

Luke 16:19-21 (CSB) “There was a rich man who would dress in purple and fine linen, feasting lavishly every day. 20 But a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, was lying at his gate. 21 He longed to be filled with what fell from the rich man’s table, but instead the dogs would come and lick his sores.

Luke 16:22-24 (CSB) One day the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 And being in torment in Hades, he looked up and saw Abraham a long way off, with Lazarus at his side. 24 ‘Father Abraham!’ he called out, ‘Have mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this flame!’

Luke 16:27-28 (CSB) “‘Father,’ he said, ‘then I beg you to send him to my father’s house— 28 because I have five brothers—to warn them, so that they won’t also come to this place of torment.’

Four Lessons From The “Other Side”

  1. The rich man was fully and .
  2. The rich man’s eternity was .
  3. The rich man knew that his suffering was .
  4. The rich man and pleaded for someone to help his brothers .

Romans 3:23 (CSB) For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Because of sin, we are .

But God is .
He is , and He is .

Because God is holy and He is just… He must .

God isn’t just “” … He is also .

Romans 5:8-9 (NLT) But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation.

2 Peter 3:9 (CSB) The Lord does not delay his promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.

This is why God doesn’t send people .
God sent Jesus to save us .
