Week 5: All on the Table

(Romans 12:18) If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

(2 Corinthians 5:18–20) All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.

1. Start with what’s fault.

(Matthew 7:3-5) “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

(James 4:1) What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?

Own our .

Offer a true .

Stop  wrong .

2. Ask for God’s .

(James 1:5) If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

3. Focus on , not  .

(Colossians 3:13 NLT) Make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

Be realistic

Be forgiving

4. Make the move.

#5 Take the step regardless of who stepped away first.

(Matthew 5:23-24) “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.

(John 3:16-17) For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

My relationship with God is inseparable to my relationship with the people God has put in my life.

(John 13:34-35 NIV) A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
