Wk 4: The Measure of Allowance 

(Colossians 3:13-15 NLT) Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

1. one another as you have been .

(Ephesians 4:32) Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

(Isaiah 1:18 NLT)“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.”

(Matthew 18:21-22 NLT) Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” 22 “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!

(John 13:34-35) A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

(1 John 4:7-8) Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 

(1 John 4:16) And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 

(1 Corinthians 4:4-8) Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.

(Romans 12:18) If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

4. Always be .

(Proverbs 3:27) Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.

(Luke 6:38) Give, and it will be given to you … For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
