Great Commission Christmas:
PRAISING

“And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”
Luke 2:10

“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!’”
Luke 2:13-14

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20

1. God is glorified because this Savior is born.
“Glory to God in the highest…”

“When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, ‘Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do.’”
John 17:1-4

“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.”
Habakkuk 2:14

2. Peace is available when this Savior is received.
“… and on earth peace…”

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
John 14:27

3. Reconciliation is possible because this Savior was sacrificed.
“… among those with whom He is pleased.”

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8

4. Praise is eternal because this Savior reigns forever.
“… And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

“Let them all praise the name of the Eternal! For His name stands alone above all others. His glory shines greater than anything above or below. He has made His people strong; He is the praise of all who are godly, the praise of the children of Israel, those whom He holds close. Praise the Eternal!”
Psalm 148:13-14
