RECEIVING

What Are We to Do with Good News?

1. Respond to it!

“When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”
Luke 2:15

“…if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9

2. Receive it!

“And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger.”
Luke 2:16

“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,”
John 1:12

3. Retell it!

“And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child.”
Luke 2:17

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
Romans 1:16

4. Rejoice about it!

“And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.”
Luke 2:20
