How does the hope of the gospel change our grief?

-We grieve with hope.

-We grieve with an understanding that death, loss, and pain are not final.

-We grieve with the knowledge that this place is not our home.

-We grieve with the truth that we will see our loved ones again.

Jesus said: I will come again…

Paul said: The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout.

Jesus said: I will receive you to myself…

Paul said: Then we will be caught up together to meet the Lord in the air.

Jesus said: That where I am, there you may be also…

Paul said: and so we will always be with the Lord.

Jesus said: Don’t let your hearts be troubled…

Paul said: comfort one another with these words.

What do we do with this truth?

-It gives us hope for the future.

-It gives us an urgency to share the gospel.

– It gives you an urgency to accept the gospel.
