14 David’s Thanksgiving

David was overjoyed when the prophet Nathan declared the words of God’s covenant with him. David’s response was telling, showing why he had a heart for the Lord.

David was a great picture of being thankful for God’s blessings. Luke’s gospel provides the account of how Jesus cured ten lepers, yet only one returned to give thanks:
