Introduction

Grace is the , , favor of God, freely given through Jesus Christ.
Grace deals with our , transforms our , and reshapes our .

Freedom in Christ (Galatians 5:13–18)

“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be .” (v.13)
“Do not use your freedom to indulge the .” (v.13)
Freedom does not mean whatever we do is .

Flesh vs. Spirit

The = living life on our own , strength, and desires.
The = God’s , wisdom, and love at work in us.

The Battle Within (Galatians 5:17–21)

The flesh and the Spirit are in with each other.
Principle:
Sow to the flesh → reap .
Sow to the Spirit → reap .

The Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23)

Singular “fruit” (not fruits): it’s a deal.

Fruit is (grows naturally).
Fruit is (ripens slowly over time).

The nine qualities: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

Practices to Grow the Fruit

Love → Pray daily for three people.
Joy → Keep a gratitude journal.
Peace → Practice an evening check-in.
Patience → Build margin into your life.
Kindness → Send one word of encouragement each day.
Goodness → Do one hidden act of goodness each week.
Faithfulness → Keep a simple rule of life.
Gentleness → Slow your speech before replying.
Self-control → Pre-decide limits on screens, spending, sweets.

Here’s the beauty: grace doesn’t just save us something — it saves us something.
