Joy to the World

(Luke 2:8-10) 8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.

(Galatians 5:22-23) the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23 gentleness, and self-control.

(Luke 2:11) Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

1. There is Joy in knowing Him as

(Psalm 16:11) in your presence there is fullness of joy

(Matthew 1:21) She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.

(Ephesians 2:4-5) But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

2. There is joy in knowing Him as

(Luke 4:18-19) The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

That there is freedom that you can experience in Jesus here on earth:
  • He can heal the pain of your past
  • He can restore the years the enemy tried to steal from your life
  • He can heal you from the wounds of the trauma and drama of your life

(Galatians 5:1) It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.

(John 10:10) The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

3. There is joy in knowing Him as

(Matthew 5:16) let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

What is the Holy Spirit speaking to you today?
