Name one thing you have seen, experienced, or learned in the last year that has really impressed you.
Digging deeper.
- On Sunday, we saw how Jesus was impressed with the faith of a Roman Centurion. Today, we delve deeper into the topic of what biblical faith looks like. The great king David’s defeat of the giant Goliath is unquestionably one of the greatest stories of faith in human history. Read the entire story in 1 Samuel 17 with the topic of faith specifically in mind. Have a few members of the group recap the main points of the story in their own words and then answer the following questions.
- What does this story tell us about God/faith?
- Did anything “new” stand out to you that you hadn’t thought about before?
- What insights do the following verses offer on the topic of faith and what it should look like in our lives?
- Habakkuk 3:17-19.
- Hebrews 11:1.
- James 2:18-26.
- Romans 10:17.
Personal reflection and application.
