  1. Have you ever engaged in a conversation with someone regarding whether the Resurrection really happened? If so, how did it go?
  2. Studies show 75% of Americans believe the Resurrection to be true. In light of this, why do you think so many choose not to follow Christ or live like this is true?

 

Digging Deeper in God’s Word

  1. The Resurrection of Christ.
    1. What does Paul say about the gospel? Read 1 Corinthians 15:1-3.
    2. How do we know Christ rose from the dead? Read 1 Corinthians 15:4-8.
    3. How is Paul a testimony of the power of the gospel? Read 1 Corinthians 15:9-11, then Acts 9:1-6.
  2. Understanding who Jesus is and what He has done for us is the essential message of the Resurrection. The following passages all contain statements that Jesus made about Himself. For each one, identify what He says about Himself and any ways you can think of how His description of Himself can impact our lives as believers.
    1. Matthew 11:28-30.
    2. John 6:35.
    3. John 8:12.
    4. John 10:14-15.
    5. John 14:6.
    6. Which of the descriptions of Jesus catches your attention the most and why?
  3. In reality, living out your faith is the best proof of a resurrected Jesus. How do the following verses reinforce this idea and describe what this looks like?
