Sermon Title: “Better Than a Blanket, a Bullet, or a Bolt” – John 17:11-12
Group Discussion:

Read Psalm 121:7-8 & John 17:11-12 – Trust Jesus’ Promises. These passages reminds us that we can trust that the Lord will protect us from harm and watch over our lives. Discuss how we can overcome doubts and help others do the same.
Read Psalm 91:1-4 – Seek Refuge in Jesus’ Power. In a real and practical sense, what does it mean to … “dwell in the shelter of the Most High?” Daily, how can we develop a rhythm of finding refuge in the shadow of the Almighty? Discuss how we can help others realize this opportunity.
Read John 14:15-18 & 14:23-24 – Live in Obedience. Can our behavior impact God’s protection? Take some time to discuss this A. W. Tozer quote one sentence at a time: “Outside of the will of God, there is nothing I want. And in the will of God, there is nothing I fear.” Discuss how we can cultivate a rhythm of obedience pursuing His will for our lives while helping people we mentor to do the same.
Read Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 & 1 John 4:7-12 – Stay Connected to Other Believers. These passages remind us of the strength found in walking through life with other believers.
