United – Week 7 – One God and Father

Ephesians 4:4-6 (CSB)

There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope at your calling—

one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.

Ephesians 4:6:

“One God and Father of all, who is above all, through all, and in all.”

  • Through all
  • In all.

God’s Love vs. Love

God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.

1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (CSB)

Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant,

is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs.

God is vs. Fathers are not

Psalm 139:7-10 (CSB)

Where can I go to escape your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.
If I fly on the wings of the dawn and settle down on the western horizon,
10 even there your hand will lead me; your right hand will hold on to me.

God is All-Knowing vs. Fathers are Limited in Knowledge

Psalm 139:1-4(CSB)

Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I stand up; you understand my thoughts from far away.
You observe my travels and my rest; you are aware of all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue, you know all about it, Lord.

“Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.”
