Discussion Questions

This week we continued in our series, The Mind of Christ. We talked about 3 ways that we can create a new culture in our homes – a culture that thinks, looks, speaks, and acts like Jesus.  More than the focus is on what everyone else can do, this is what you can do. 

There are two sets of questions, one to do with your ‘Ohana Group and questions to do with your family. 

1. Read Philippians 2:1-4.  What stands out to you from the text or from the sermon? How can you apply it to your life?
2. Between the 3 ways we talked about changing the culture in your home (serving, speaking life, apologizing), which one comes easiest for you? Which one doesn’t come naturally?
3. What will you do this week to grow in the one that doesn’t come naturally? Be specific and practical.
4. If you could ask God to do one thing in your home what would it be?
5. Lift up these desires to the Lord.

1. Go around to each person and have every family member say one thing they love or appreciate about each other.
2. In the sermon this week we talked about serving each other, speaking life, and apologizing. Which one do you need to work on most?
3. What could we do together to make our home better? (Make this conversation about working together rather than casting blame).
4. If you could ask God to do one thing in our home what would it be?
