  • By a 3-to-1 margin (64% vs. 22%) adults said truth is always relative to the person and their situation. (2002 ACU)
  • 58% of all Americans believe that moral truth is up to the individual to decide  (2020 ACU)
  • 46% of Evangelical Christians believe moral truth is up to the individual to decide  (2020 ACU)

    John 17:17 NLT;  Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.

    Luke 4:14-17a NIV;  Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside.  He was teaching in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.  He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read,  and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him.

    Matthew 4:4 NIV;  Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

    Matthew 7:28-29 NIV; When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching,  because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.

    John 8:31-32 NIV;  To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.  Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
