I. A TRUE FOLLOWER

  1. John 6:66-69 ‘From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve. Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.” ‘ (MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)
  2. Philippians 3:13-14  ‘Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. ‘(MULTILINE REVEAL SMALL)

II. ALL-IN MEANS TAKING OWNERSHIP

A. Luke 9:23 ‘Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.‘

  1. Hebrews 10:38 38  Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”
  2. Hebrews 11:6 6  But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him

We don’t have the privilege to be good, we have the burden to be better.

III. Closing

A. Revelation 3:15-16 15 ‘“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. ‘

YOU CAN’T CALM YOUR STORM WHILE YOU ARE IN THE STORM

Joshua 24:14-15′ “Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord . But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord .” ‘
