What is faith?

Faith is a present tense belief in an optimal future that God has promised

Matt 9:29 29 Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith will it be done to you”;

Mark 11: 20 In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. 21 Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!”

22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

Faith is the engine that takes you upstream in a world that is flowing against you.

Heb 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

How important is faith?

Heb 11: And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Heb 12: 2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith…..

Gods dream for you is bigger than your dream for you.

Destiny walkers will have purpose and power to make sacrifices that others will not.

Rom 10:17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.

Isaiah 53:1 Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

When we receive God’s word, it becomes a shield against doubt. This gift of faith, become the shield of faith that protects us from the attacks of satan to steal our faith.

Eph 6: 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Testimonies come from putting into practice Gods directions.

Maintaining Trust and Gratitude; Even when I don’t understand what is happening.

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Prov 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;  6in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
