More than Able

MORE THAN ABLE – Ephesians Chapter 3

The same God who brought you into His family is more than able to do more through your life than you ever imagined.

YOU HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN GOD’S STORY

Eph 3: 2 Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you, 3 that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.

The Greek word is mystērion. A truth once hidden that God has now revealed.

Eph 3:6 “This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.”

You were never God’s backup plan. You have always been part of His eternal purpose.

This is why Oasis exists.

God’s greatest invitation isn’t simply to attend church. It’s to become part of His family.

Ps 68 6 God sets the lonely in families,….

Our first calling is to help people Know God.

Eph 3: 7 I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power.

8.”Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people, this grace was given me…”

Paul never got over grace.

Eph 3:9 and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery,…

Eph 3:8 Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ,

Forgiveness.

Ephesians 1: 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace

Adoption.

Ephesians 1:  5he predestined us for adoption to sonship n through Jesus Christ

Peace.

Ephesians 2: 14 For he himself is our peace,…

Hope.

1 Peter 1:3 In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead

Healing.

Isaiah 53: 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Purpose.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Access to God.

Eph 3:12 “In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.”

Everything heaven has becomes available because of Jesus.

Eph 3: 10 His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known

We help people Grow Healthy.

Ephesians 3:14-19.    Paul stops Teaching…and starts praying.

16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,

Strengthen them through Your Spirit.

17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

The word “dwell” means……….to settle down and make Himself completely at home.

17 And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,

Healthy roots produce healthy fruit.

Healthy foundations build strong lives.

Because when Christ changes the heart…everything else begins to change.

Healthy people become lights in a hurting world.

17 And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,  18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,

Power: It means to be fully able, to have sufficient strength, Competency.

19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God

• God doesn’t want us barely surviving spiritually. He wants us living from His fullness.

NOW FAITH BELIEVES HE IS MORE THAN ABLE

Ephesians 3:20 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,

NOW.

Hebrews 11:1  “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

Faith always lives in the present.

“…according to His power that is at work within us.”

Rom 8: 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

Then Paul finishes with something we often overlook.

21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen

God’s glory is displayed through His Church.

That’s why Oasis exists.

Where have you stopped believing?

“Now to Him who is able…”

Faith isn’t about someday.

Faith believes right now that God is working.

Right now He can save…….Right now He can heal……Right now He can restore.

Right now He can redeem……Right now He can call.

Right now He can do immeasurably more than you could ever ask or imagine.

Let it become your declaration.
