A Kingdom Focused Life Is only possible through a balance of deliberate action and patient preparation.
Psalm 27:14 – “Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.”
As followers of Christ we must be continuously reminding ourselves who we are waiting with and who we are fighting with.
Waiting on the Lord is a humbling moment of active preparation that allows us to serve God better in our own lives.
Even though God was a part of Saul’s life he was not involved in his life.
Prayer (begin every day right) (Matthew 26:41)
Scripture (Psalm 119:105,140; Isaiah 55:11)
Community (God never intended for us to walk alone)(Romans 12:4-5; Hebrews 10:24-25)

“Surrender (trust) scares us, because we think that if we give up what God is telling us to give to Him – if we hand Him that thing that means too much; if we decide to stop bowing down at the foot of the idols of our own making, we will be lacking something. We reckon that to surrender to God is to relinquish our joy and what an ancient lie that is! The lie being that once my hands are open and empty, God isn’t big enough or good enough to fill them up again. Our fear of surrender is really our unbelief that God isn’t better than everything God is asking me to give Him. You will give God anything, when you believe He is everything.” – Jackie Hill Perry (Upon Waking)
Lamentations 3:55-58 – I called to your name O Lord from the depths of the pit. You heard my plea: “Do not close your ears to my cry for relief!” You came near when I called and you said, “Do not fear.” You have taken up my case O Lord, You redeemed my life.
