View Archives Reveal Blanks Oxford Assembly of God New Things for a New Day January 8, 2025 Main Scripture Reference(s) Isaiah 43:18-19, Leviticus 26:10 New Things for a New Day January 8, 2025 / Pastor Tom Van Kempen / Isaiah 43:18-19 / Oxford Assembly of God New Things for a New Day “New Things” are exciting to those who trust God God’s reminds Israel of His character God reminds Israel of His competition We must empty our hands to receive God’s “New Thing” Memorialize the past, don’t idolize the past Leviticus 26:10 (NKJV) Learn from the past, don’t live in the past Get on board, or get left behind The hardest part of God’s “New Thing” is the need for change Change is a challenge It rocks the boat It disrupts your comfort zone It demands sacrifice God’s change is rewarding God promises supernatural guidance God promises to meet needs God promises a joy filled experience Study Questions: The first 17 verses of Isaiah 43 are a reminder of God’s greatness. Which character traits are the most comforting to you? Why? Can you name two or three things God has done for you in the past? What do you need to let go of in order to embrace God’s “New Thing”? Are you quick to embrace change or slow to embrace change? Since God promises guidance, provision, and joy why do we still resist God’s “New Things”? DID YOU KNOW?
