The Goodness of Jesus
“He Has Done All Things Well”
Mark 7:31-37
A gentile mom had greater understanding of, and faith in, Jesus than the disciples. How did that happen? Simply – Jesus opened her heart to believe in Him. In our narrative today, we see that beautiful picture of the work of Jesus to open deaf ears and make speechless tongues to give praise to Him. This story brings the cohesive teaching of Mark 7 to a glorious conclusion – Jesus does all things well!
Reflect on these five actions of Jesus and respond with awe over all He does, and does so well …
- His sovereign grace involves human instruments [7:31-32]
- His sovereign grace enters the unique world of those He loves [7:33]
- His sovereign grace is expressed in deep emotion [7:34]
- His sovereign grace releases people from bondage [7:35]
- His sovereign grace produces Godly zeal and overwhelming awe [7:36-37]
