Here are some thought-provoking questions for a small group discussion on Moses and the burning bush:

Reflection on the Encounter:

What emotions do you think Moses might have experienced when he encountered the burning bush and heard God’s voice?

Have you ever had a moment in your life where you felt God was calling you to something significant? How did you respond?

The Significance of the Burning Bush:

Why do you think God chose to manifest Himself through a burning bush? What might this symbolize?

How does the burning bush serve as a metaphor for God’s presence in our lives today?

Moses’ Initial Reaction:

What were some of Moses’ initial objections or hesitations when God called him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt?

Have you ever felt inadequate or unqualified for a task that you believed God was calling you to? How did you overcome those feelings?

God’s Response to Moses:

How does God address Moses’ objections and fears? What reassurances does He offer?

In what ways does God’s response to Moses apply to us when we face challenges or doubts in our own lives?

Trusting in God’s Presence:

How does God’s promise of His presence with Moses encourage him to step out in faith?

How can we cultivate a deeper trust in God’s presence and guidance in our own lives, especially during times of uncertainty?

The Call to Action:

What are some parallels between Moses’ call to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and our own call to serve God and others?

How can we discern God’s call in our lives and respond obediently, even when it requires stepping out of our comfort zones?

Application to Daily Life:

What are some practical ways we can apply the lessons from Moses’ encounter with the burning bush to our daily lives?

How can we actively seek out and respond to God’s presence and calling in the midst of our everyday routines?

These questions can help facilitate a meaningful discussion about the story of Moses and the burning bush and encourage you and/or LifeGroup members to reflect on its relevance to their own faith journey.
