When to Judge and When Not to Judge

Things to judge:

• Flagrant in the church.  1 Cor 5:12-13; Rev. 2:14-16, 20-23; 2 John 7, 10-11

• teaching – distortion of the gospel.  Matt 7:15-16; Gal 1:8-9

• – to be sure we are rightly related to God and ready to take the Lord’s Supper.  2 Cor. 13:5; 1 Cor 11:28-31

Things not to judge:

• The heart motives of others.  Matt 7:1; 1 Cor 4:4-5

• We should not evaluate people or treat them differently based on their .  James 2:1-4

• We should not of other believers.  James 4:11-12

• We should not evaluate a person’s worthiness of our fellowship based on “.”  Romans 14:1-4

• We should not judge the behavior of others when we do the . Romans 2:1-2
