The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. There is no apart from Him. 1 Corinthians 2:6-3:4.

He will not show up where He isn’t and

We need to understand there is a difference between talking Him and talking Him.

The word communion means: fellowship, partnership, closeness.

1. The  of His Voice.

2. The Sound of His Voice is to us, yet uniformed to all at the same time. Acts 8:26-29

We can’t begin to know the sound of His voice unless we spend with Him. John 16:13 and John 15.26-27

3. We are with the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 3:9 John 16:12-15

He yearns for us James 4:4-5

Understand that He speaks to us in several ways.

  1. Through the Scriptures. Psalm 119:105
  2. Through Preaching/Teaching. Romans 10:14-15
  3. Through Circumstances. Acts 16:6, 20:23
  4. Through others. Proverbs 24:6
  5. An impression or sense of knowing. Acts 15:28
  6. Dreams, Visions, Prophetic words. Acts 2:17, 21:10-11
  7. Audible voice (rare) Acts 10:13-15

Some things that can hinder our Communion with the Spirit:

  1. Disobedience/Rebellion/Sin. Isaiah 59:2; Deut. 28:15-68; Psalm 66:18
  2. Murmuring/Complaining. Numbers 14, Hebrews 4:1-5
  3. Un-forgiveness. Mark. 11:25-26
  4. Pride. James 4:6; 1 Peter 5:5
  5. Hard heart. Hebrews 4:7
  6. Walking in the flesh/world. James 4:4-5, 1 John. 2:15-17
