Last week, we started talking about Fire of Revival and talked about the promises of God once His people do something. We see God waiting for an action on our part and then He responds with an answer to our actions. This is throughout scripture.
I believe that God is testing us in the process.
James 2:2-4 NASB
God tests our , and when He has us step out what is He doing testing our faith. He is waiting to see if we are going to be obedient to His word.
God is no different with us. His word tells us exactly what we need to do, and He is waiting for us to follow it, and when we begin to understand and do it, then we begin to see rewards in our lives.
Hebrews 11:6 NASB
He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Some translations say diligently seek Him.
He us not on our own actions, but for us Him and in Faith and in Him and His word.
The question we need to ask ourselves today:
- Am I diligently seeking God with all my life?
- Am I walking in faith by trusting His word? Am I willing to burn for Him?
These questions are easy to hear, but hard to walk out. Why?
We must make a sacrifice of ourselves, our pride, and completely surrender to the perfect and wonderful will of God.
Romans 12:1-3 NASB
There are some key factors here.
- our bodies as a living and holy sacrifice – purity, holiness, righteousness, repentant
- This is acceptable to God and our spiritual or rational service to Him
- Do not to this world
- We do that by being transformed by the renewing of our mind
- Prayer
- His word
By doing so we will prove (approve) what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
The word prove also means approve – We must approve to allow the will of God to encompass our lives, we must approve walking in His statutes and follow His direction.
We have a free and we approve if we decide to walk in the world or the kingdom ways. We approve if we are going to walk in depression, anxiety, or the peace of God.
It is us who approve what happens in our lives, and it is us who can disapprove and tell the enemy I do not approve of what you are trying to do in my life so back off you have no permission, and no message.
We must then tell God that we approve of His destiny for our lives, we must approve to walk in His righteousness, Holiness and Purity. We must approve to walk kingdom minded and not according to this world.
1 person can spread the fire of revival into a major move of God. We don’t need to wait for the fire to begin, we are and have the fire inside of us.
That is why Jesus tells us not to hide our light under a bushel but to let it shine. He wants the fire inside of us to be seen by those around us. He wants us to have a wiliness to burn for Him.
It is a willingness to stand outside of the world ways and allow Him to burn is us. It is a wiliness to trust God, have faith in Him, and renew our minds in His word once again.
A can’t be offered where there is no fire, and we are called to be living and holy sacrifices, which means we need to be willing to lay down our worldly, quit, fearful, hopeless, depressed, anxious, and poverty mindsets, and in return allow the fire of His glory burn in us once again for the whole world to see.
In closing:
Matthew 5:14-15 NASB
We are not called to hide our lives in the valley where no one can see us. No, we are called to be on a hill for all who can see, and we are not called to put our light/fire for God under a basket but to let it shine for all to see.
