Ephesians 1:11-12

You were chosen to be an heir in the Son by the Father for the Father’s glory.

An heir is:

a person entitled to the property or rank of another on that person’s death.
a person inheriting and continuing the of a predecessor.

Ephesians 1:13

Romans 10:13-14

Seal = to fasten or close , stamped by the guarantor.

The Holy Spirit is:

The – John 14:15
Our helper and – John 14:26 (Comforter KJV)
The One who of sin, righteousness, and judgment – John 16:8-9
The Spirit of – John 16:13
to be witnesses for Christ – Acts 1:8
Our Intercessor – Romans 8:26
The giver of spiritual – 1 Corinthians 12, Romans 12, 1 Peter 4
The giver of spiritual fruit – Galatians 5:22-23

What is our guarantee?

Salvation is:

The – foreknows, chooses, and calls you
The Son – you and justifies you
You – and believe
The Spirit – you, sanctifies you, and s you
You – like Jesus in the power of the Spirit until the Son returns for you and the Father glorifies you

Ephesians 1:14

The chief end of man is to God and Him forever. (Westminster Shorter Catechism)

Reflection Questions:

Now that I have heard, do I believe?
Am I excited about Christ’s return?
Do I live to glorify God and enjoy Him forever or do I live for my own glory and pleasure?
Am I aware of the Holy Spirit’s presence in my life?

Takeaways:

Each day pray, “Holy Spirit fill me today. Let me experience Your presence in a tangible way.”
Identify some distractions that keep you from being aware of the Holy Spirit in your life.
Read Ephesians 1:3-14 each day and thank God for His spiritual blessings.
