How the Bible Changes Us

I. Introduction

A. The Bible is a book that has supernatural that no other book has!

B. Genesis 1:1-3 (NAS) 1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. 3Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

C. John 1:1-3 (NAS) 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.

II. How the Bible Changes Us

A. By activating my

1. is activated by God’s Word!

2. Romans 10:17 (NAS) So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

3. The Bible tells you what to do—and it also gives you the to do it!

4. Ephesians 3:20 (NAS) Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.

B. By stimulating my

1. Acts 20:32 (NLT) “And now I entrust you to God and the message of his grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those he has set apart for himself.”

2. We find out our by reading God’s Word!

3. You were made on purpose, a purpose!

4. II Timothy 3:16-17 (NAS) 16All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

C. By elevating my

1. Romans 15:4b (NLT) The Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.

2. II Corinthians 4:16 (NAS) Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.

3. I Peter 1:23 (NAS) For you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.
