How to Be Jesus Incarnate Everywhere You Go!

B. Acts 1:8 (NAS) “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
1. In the year 40 A.D., about 1/1000th of 1% of the of the Roman Empire were followers of Jesus!
2. By 350 A.D.—just a few centuries later—% of the entire Roman Empire were followers of Jesus!
3. It was because the Presence of was in their midst!
C. Acts 2:42-47 (NLT) 42All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. 43A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. 44And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. 45They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. 46They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity—47all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.

G. Mark 10:45 (NAS) “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
1. “Exposure of unwanted female infants—was legal, morally accepted, and widely practiced by all social classes in the Greco-Roman world.”
2. (females) were really looked down upon in the 1st century!
H. Mark 12:29-31 (NLT) 29“The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. 30And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ 31The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
I. James 1:27 (NAS) Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
