I. Introduction

II. God Made Men and Women Differently !

A. God used different Hebrew words to describe how He Adam and Eve.

1. Genesis 2:7 (NAS) Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

a. “Formed” (Yatsar) – to or squeeze into shape as a potter does

2. Genesis 2:22 (NAS) And the LORD God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man.

a. “Fashioned” (Panah) – to be formed

3. I Peter 3:7a (NAS) You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way.

B. Some differences between men and women:


2. Emotions, and health

3. -oriented vs. -oriented

4. Women crave intimacy—Intimacy does not mean to a woman.

6. Other miscellaneous differences between the sexes….

C. We have to learn to be with one another about our differences!

1. I Corinthians 13:4a (NLT) Love is patient and kind.

2. If both of you are exactly the , then one of you isn’t !

3. I Thessalonians 5:11 (NAS) Therefore encourage one another, and build up one another, just as you also are doing.

III. Because of Our Unique Differences, God Even to Adam and Eve!

A. Genesis 3:9 (NAS) Then the LORD God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?”

1. Most men communicate in a way that is and to the point!

2. Most men think through an issue they speak!

3. Most men like to offer !

B. Genesis 3:13a (NAS) Then the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”

1. God gives Eve a chance to !

a. “How did that make you ?”

3. Average use per day difference

C. We must make to each other’s differences and learn how the opposite sex relates!

1. Proverbs 24:3 (NAS) By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established.

D. I Corinthians 13:7 (NLT) Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

1. Don’t fight your differences, them!
